Gordon Life Insurance Scam Update

It just goes to show you the different in reporting. One article mentioned that it was Josaphine Gordon, wife of Harry Gordon who was scamming the life insurance companies for $3.5 million. In the article below, here name is spelled Josephine and she is the daughter of Harry Gordon, and the life insurance amount is only $3 million. And... these folks are from Australia. It amazes me even more that a business man who is apparently already a millionaire would get his daughter involved in a life insurance scam. It appears from this article that the judge decided to not charge Josephine in this situation. What a convoluted situation. I don't think that it would be worth the money to throw away lives just for millions of dollars or any money for that matter. The purpose of a life insurance policy is to protect loved ones or business partners against the financial problems caused by an income earners death. This seems to have greatly complicated the lives of loved ones. READ ALSO life insurance scam article

Would you please note that 'Josaphine' is the correct spelling, it is not with an 'e'. Also please note that you have reported the matter as if Josaphine did assist her father. The Judge did not decide not to proceed against Josaphine, it was the DPP who decided to drop the case, this usually happens when there is insufficient evidence. For you to wonder why a father would get her daughter to conspire in matter you should first be certain that an offence has been committed by her. Use of the word 'alleged' would be helpful. Never assume someone is guilty just because they are charged with an offence.

Well noted...

I blogged about this because it makes me scratch my head in wonderment at what goes through a person's mind when they're planning such a scheme.

Although there is money "to be made" supposedly, there are many laws and contracts you're breaking by faking your death.

I can't see how looking over your shoulder for the rest of your life is going to be worth $3 million

Thanks for your comment.
